Citroen expands LCV range

Citroen has announced the launch of a new LCV, it has been revealed.

The Berlingo L2 is a follow-up from the firm's existing L1 model and has a 750kg payload.

Featuring a 1.6HDi 90hp engine, the new van has a greater load volume and load deck length than its predecessor and comes with Trafficmaster Smartnav as standard.

The vehicle is priced from £12,395 plus VAT, in news that might interest those on the search of goods in transit insurance as they look to expand their fleet.

Commenting on the news, Robert Handyside, commercial vehicle operations manager for Citroen, said: "The new Berlingo L2 fits in our range between the existing Berlingo L1 model and the larger Dispatch."

He stated that in terms of load deck length and load volume, the new model is comparable to the manufacturer's Dispatch vehicle, adding that "it provides the benefit of even greater long load carrying capability".
