Suzuki expands into fleet sector
Suzuki is gearing up to expand its presence in the fleet sector, it has been revealed.
Moves by the firm have seen it sign agreements with 20 currently unnamed contract hire and leasing companies across 35 of its dealerships, Fleet News reports.
However, David Seward, sales and marketing director of Suzuki, claimed that the firm has "no aspirations to be big time fleet".
"Most of the dealers are urban-based and have experience with other franchises in rentals," Mr Seward added.
It was reported that the firm's corporate sales programme is to target long-term rentals with the possibility of it achieving a target of 2,500 rentals per year said to be "excellent".
Such news might interest those looking to get cheap fleet insurance.
Last month, it was revealed that Hampshire-based haulage firm Harris Transport had expanded its fleet with the purchase of two Spacecab-equipped Daf CF65s which come with the optional skylights previously only seen with the XF105.
